Too hot! Hazard in my kitchen.

Used once and returning it tomorrow. Pot ridiculously hot! Outside of pot so hot its dangerous to have on counter, food burned on bottom of crock. This is NOT a "slowcooker", afraid to leave it on all day while I work - would be a fire hazard!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Set this up at bedtime and when I get up I have steel cut oatmeal and blueberries ready for breakfast
The the on off temp knob comes off too easy

I have owned a giant crockpot for several years and love it. What I don't love however is trying to cook and much smaller meal or side dish in it. Moisture control and cook time become unpredictable when you put too little food in too big a pot. This midsize pot is perfect for smaller meals, side dishes and appetizers. It's handy and super easy to clean. I am fully satisfied with my purchase.

I like how it works, I used it twice so far, the only thing I wish it had was an automatic shut off, other than that I like it very much!

Now that I am by myself, I needed something smaller to keep cooking those good ole' meals. The 3-Quart Slow Cooker is just the ticket for me. I appreciate the quality of the Slow Cooker.
