I would not normally bother writing a review like this but this is not only an extremely high quality product whose performance exceeds my expectations, but the ease of set up - everything working automatically with my MacBook Pro with USB connection, the easy registration, the excellent on-line documentation that an included CD made easy to access, and the ease of use just convinced me that I chose wisely in making this purchase.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Worth spending a little more for

I have been working on putting together a backyard "drive-in" for my family and friends for this upcoming summer and have been reading reviews and specifications and comparing many brands and models of projectors. I have bought a trussing system and a 120"diagonal screen so brightness and sharpness are very important. I finally decided to buy the EX6220 because of the 3 LCD design, which provides bright colors and crisp realistic HD images that are not washed out in any way, like I have seen on other projectors. We watched the movie "Monsters Inc." and the picture really has to be seen to be believed. You could see every texture so clearly. I'm very impressed.

Entry Home Theatre & DirecTV Big Screen Experience

Several years ago I purchased an Infocus X1 for use as an Entry level home theatre setup. It was DLP. Color wheel eventually broke. No parts to repair. After searching & reading reviews on several brands, it was decided to purchase the Epson EX6220 based partially on cost and feature set.
As a result, we have not been disappointed. The picture quality and screen resolution is exceptional. Works with our DirecTV and Blu-Ray consoles. Using a 3rd party sound amplifier there simply is no reason to spending $15-20 for movie tickets and at least that much at the concession stand and we get 5.1 surround sound. The thrown picture is crisp, clean and sharp. We display on a 120" diagonal screen. Room or surroundings do not have to dark. Picture is clear even at sharp viewing angles. The projector fan is reasonably quiet, especially in the ECO mode and in ECO mode, the colors and overall display is still bright.
Easy to set up, leave up or store away. Quality construction, nice full-featured remote, EZ start and shutdown. Nice keystone adjustments and for computer display, built-in speaker is adequate. Connectivity is plug and play and straight forward.
In our estimation - worthy of 5 stars for quality, performance and expectation. Bottomline - very happy with our selection.

I brought this projector for work presentations, and hooked up the HDMI cable to my computer and It worked on the first try!!!!!! No long tech support calls or complex setup. Thanks

This is my 1st projector and I am very happy with the picture quality. Just the right price and very reasonable quality. I am using this for my home theater 10ft wide screen.

The image is very good, the sound can be better.
When I raise the volume past 70% I begin to hear a vibrating sound. I cannot reproduce sounds at the higher volume levels without it beginning to produce distorted sound.
