Despite some good reviews (and looking past some poor reviews) before purchase, we are horribly disappointed with our Samsung dishwasher. In short: it does not clean well at all (even rinsed dishes), it does not dry well (even using rinse aid and sanitize option), it has a horrible musty/stagnant odor (even just 24 hours after running a cleaning cycle). It is very quiet, but for the basic qualities you want, it fails. Very disappointed. We returned it for a different make/model that has been amazing.
Pros: quiet
Cons: Poor quality, Did not meet expectations, does not dry, does not clean, bad odor
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I have used this dishwasher for a couple of months and it is so quiet I don't even realize it's running. Dishes are always very clean.
Pros: Realistic color

I hate this dishwasher

We have had this dishwasher for 2 1/2 years and I have had a variety of problems with it the entire time we have had it. It replaced a much less expensive dishwasher that we used with no major issues for 12 years. Now, after less than three years, I would junk this one if I could afford to do so.
The first we experienced was steam coming out from the base of the door. This mainly happens when I run a sanitary cycle. I run this cycle a lot, so I always have to remember to wipe the area after the cycle so our wood flooring doesn't get damaged. The second issue is that the nozzles get clogged all the time. I have to remove all three sets at least once per month to clean debris from the holes and I even rinse all dishes before loading. The third issue is that gunk accumulates at the front of the tub, right where the door opens and closes. I assume this doesn't get thoroughly washed during a cycle, with the door obstructing it, so it starts to smell unless you wipe or scrub it off frequently. It also doesn't clean as well as my old washer did.
These are all annoying problems, but the very worst problem is that twice in the past 2+ years of owning it, I have had to unscrew all 15 or so screws to remove the bottom screen and clean the reservoir under it because a pinkish bacterial growth accumulates and makes the whole washer smells absolutely disgusting...so bad that the dishes actually smell bad after a cycle.
I would never recommend this to somebody that I liked and I would likely never consider a Samsung dishwasher again. I wish I had returned it after I discovered the condensation issue after a few uses instead of just deciding to live with that issue. It is a beautiful and quiet machine, but the way it cleans and it's terrible inside design resulting in the smell and extra maintenance, it's really not acceptable, particularly since this was not an inexpensive dishwasher.
Pros: sleek, attractive, quiet
Cons: Poor quality, poor design, smells bad inside, nozzles get clogged, steam condenses under door
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We like the quietness and style of the dishwasher with a large capacity. It did not dry the dishes as we had hoped. Checked water temperature was 140 degrees which was OK.Used the sanitize mode but did not help. Will try a different rinse. In use for one week.
Cons: dishes not clear dry
I would recommend this to a friend!

I hate this dishwasher!

I purchased this dishwasher when my bosh (which I LOVED) quit. It looked great and we thought that since we were happy with our other Samsung products (TV's, microwaves, fridge, etc) that we would go with a brand we trusted. From the moment we installed it, I hated it. It was not nearly as quiet as my old dishwasher and it took what seemed like FOREVER to complete a cycle. Then I opened the washer and found that my dishes don't seem very clean. I have tried every brand of soap and rinse agent but still my dishes are not usually clean. The soap dispenser doesn't even open sometimes so I have to run another cycle on several loads. I end up washing half of my dishes by hand after they have gone through the washer. When this one quits, I will definitely go with another brand. I love my microwave and other Samsung products but the dishwasher is a lemon.
Pros: looks nice
Cons: Poor quality, Did not meet expectations, doesn't clean dishes
