Doesn't clean the dishes!

We have had this dishwasher for a week now. No matter how I load it or what cycle I put the dishes on, they come out dirty with food still stuck on them. This isn't baked on food either, I can wipe it off of the dishes with my finger. I have done everything in the manual to address the problem to no avail. I would not recommend this unit to anyone who is looking for a functional dishwasher. Sure does look nice though. I have already scheduled the store to come and get it so that we can go purchase something that works.
Pros: nice exterior design
Cons: Did not meet expectations, doesn't clean the dishes!

We also bought this dishwasher due to the great 4 drawer fridge we have from Samsung. Here are the issues, but we have worked around them. I was just wondering if any of the designers have ever really used one???
1) Top rack drops at an angle and is too deep. This causes the spray arm to rotate at a slant. This could be why your dishes are not getting clean. Let me explain... Each time I push in both racks, I have to manually rotate the upper spray arm to see if it will strike any plates of anything in the sliverware holders.
2) Don't put anything too high with its back towards the door. This will cause the soap dispenser to not open properly and then the soap will not drop out properly from the holder.
3) Use the Smart Auto - this "feels" your level of dirtiness of your dishes and then adjustes the cleaning cycle time.
4) Put all long serving spoons or spatulas in the top rack, BUT don't let them hang through the upper basket! The upper spray arm will hit these as well and if it does not spin, your dishes do not get clean.

Here's the low down. The intellegent person can look for all this stuff before they run the dishwasher, BUT THEY SHOULDN'T HAVE TO! I will definitely bring my dishes to the store to see how they fit next time BEFORE I purchase another dishawasher.
All in all, it is EXTREMELY quiet! This is great, especially when watching TV in the adjoining Family Room. It looks great and matches all my other Samsung Appliances - another plus. And it does a great job cleaning, once you do all your checks for lift off! I would recommend it if they re-designed it...

Great value for the money! I needed a family friendly all stainless dishwasher, and the price was right on this model. It has all the features I could ever want and it is so quiet. No more melted plastic on the bottom either because the heat element is hidden..
Pros: Bright display, Durable, Realistic color
I would recommend this to a friend!

Bought this dishwasher because we own the samsung washer dryer. Those are great! But the dishwasher does not always clean the dishes. It never dries the dishes. because the way the bottom rack tines are slanted, it's difficult to load especially pots and pans. The top rack tines are too short. Tall glasses fall over and break. I've owned several different brands over the years (GE, Kenmore, Bosch), and this is by far the worst. I'm ready to yank it out and replace it after only 3 months.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Love the features in the racks of this dishwasher, it makes loading wine glasses really easy. There seems to be a place for everything, someone really put some thought into the design! Love the stainless interior, stays really clean, does a great job of cleaning, even when dishes are REALLY dirty!

Replaced a ten year old unit. This unit is quite and looks very nice in the kitchen.Very easy to operate. No trouble at all with this dishwasher. Just what my wife and I would hope it would be. Great product!!
Pros: quite, easy to operate, beautiful design, energy saver
