I had to have a travel size waterpik and I ordered the WF-02 which is battery operated. It did not arrive in time for travel and there were ongoing delays so I bought the WP-450 from a local retailer. I also had to have periodontal piks which have to be bought separately from Waterpik and I forgot to include the extra one I had ordered for my WP-100 when I packed. I could not find anyplace to purchase the necessary piks while traveling or even where I live so I was unable to use the waterpik while away--my dentisit won't be happy. In addition, beware that the charger for the WP-450 was a problem going through airport security. My carryon was removed and searched and the TSA agent told me that the charger was what set off the security alert. I wish I could have gotten the WF-02 and I wish the replcement piks were available in stores. I did try the WP-450 at home before I left to make sure it worked and the other reviews which suggest using it in the shower are correct--it is a mess to use over sink while trying to maintain the necessary angle.
I bought this to replace my old WaterPik, because I thought it would take up less space on vanity and be easier to use...and it is, but the pulse is not as strong as I like, and it doesn't hold enough solution for me to finish cleaning without refilling. However, I think water flossing is great dental care, and would recommend it for people who might skip this step if there was too much preparation involved.
My husband got me this for Christmas.....I know how lame. But I was always using his so he got me my own. Mine is nicer than his and I love it. I floss first, water pic then brush. My dentist is going to go nuts when I see him. No PLAQUE!!!!!
