I expected the WaterPik would be messy, not at all. The first time you use it you need to learn what you are doing. Once you have done this it's easy to use and it really makes your mouth feel like the dentist just completed a cleaning on your teeth.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Ive had this cordless waterpik for several months now. Its used twice everyday by 2 adults. Its easy to use, easy to travel with, no batteries to deal with as its a rechargable unit. Has two different strengths to choose from. We've had many others that were way more expensive and none were easier to use than this one.

so far I like it as well as my last water pick, which just wore out after daily use for many years. due to shoulder surgeries, and extra large hands and fingers flossing is almost impossible, a water pick is my best alternative, works well at rinsing under bridges where I can't floss as needed
