I bought this because I thought it would be handy. In reality I found it unwieldy and awkward. I returned mine and got a regular counter-top model.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We are sorry to hear that you felt the unit was difficult to use. If you find yourself purchasing one in the future, we do have a super helpful how-to video that has great tips on how to use the product. You can view it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ia46JK-TvpE
I purchased the waterpik on the advice of my dental hygienist. The size is perfect, and I keep it on the sink so I can use it after ever meal. It take seconds to fill, and just a short while to use. I'm so impressed with this unit that I purchased one for my husband. He was at his own dentist that same day, and it was suggested he use one. This waterpik is so much easier to use that our larger waterpiks. Thank you for an outstanding product.
I bought this about a month ago, and I am extremely pleased with it. I fill it with half Crest Pro Health Rinse and half warm water, and clean around my fairly new, and very sore caps. It really does a great job rinsing the food out from under the gum-line and between the teeth. I then run plain water through the water-pik to rinse the solution out of the machine, dry it, and plug it back in to charge. It does an admirable job, takes very little time to clean and dry, and is comfortable to use.
This is the second time that I have purchased this product. I love it! The first one lasted several years, and may just need a new battery. The product works as intended. I like two different tips. One is used over my implants and the other for general rising after eating.
