Our old model died on our trip to Europe. I don't think we realized that even with an adaptor, some electrical devices can't handle the changed voltage, so we really missed having it for the rest of the trip. When we returned, we purchased this one. The materials that it's made of don't feel as durable. The top to the well popped off one day, and I had to fish it out of the drain. The low power seems too low, but the high power seems too high. I liked the unadjustable power that we had before. The water runs out before we finish getting around our whole mouth. It's wider, so it's not as easy to handle. I suppose one nice feature is that you can see how much water is left in the well and that it will probably be easier to clean. I doubt that it will last as long as our old model. However, it flushes food out of our teeth for a reasonable price, so we'll be glad to use it until it wears out.
