Getting one of these devices that are rechargeable is the only way to go. I had one that used up batteries in about a week. So I went with rechargeable batteries. I had to replace them daily. The battery department wasn't sealed. Water got in and killed the unit. This one I just leave plugged to the charger no problems what ever.

I purchased thinking that I could use it in the shower. It cannot. I was also not impressed with the performance. The pik pressure was weaker than I expected. Most disappointing was the battery power dissipation. The charge lasted only for one use.

I like the water flosser but the location of the charging port seems to be an issue for me. I always worry that when filling the reservoir for the device, water seems to trickle into the charging port. I worry that this will likely cause issues with the charging capabilities later.

This is my first Waterpik which I bought at the suggestion of my dentist. I read the directions and watched the “video” on line but found both to be of little help. I have a model that requires charging. On the positive side, it does a good job of cleaning however it is very messy to use and I have not been able to find any type of indicator light which lets me know when to recharge it. In general I am disappointed in the product and do not feel like I got my money’s worth.
