I found that my teeth and gums benefited from a water-pik. I seems more rugged than the previous skinnier models which broke down in less than two years ( I had two).

Bought this to replace same brand that I had for 2 years but broke. I understand why the water reservoir was changed because that is what broke on my precious pik. I preferred the older reservoir but will get use to the new one.

This is a great waterpik, and there is definitely a difference in my gum health since using it. There are only a few cons to the design. The first one being that there's no way to know if there's mold on the inside, or a way to know when it's cleaned sufficiently. The second one is that there is no cover for the charger holes, so if water gets trapped, it can be very difficult to get it out, and mold grows in that as well. And the third, and final con, is that the opening for the water reservoir is up and in the middle, so it makes it extremely difficult to get all the excess water out, even if you turn the flosser on until it's all out, some still remains. I have to shake it furiously with the opening pointing down to get the extra out and leave it open to air dry. And, again, if I don't, mold grows.

I received this gift for Christmas and have been using it twice daily ever since. I love it. I thought it would be difficult to adjust to, but after a few times using the low setting I easily switched to high. I love the triangular "pic pocket" brush that helps to get into those pockets, especially before brushing. After that my mouth feels so clean and fresh, just like it feels after a professional cleaning. I do use mouth wash mixed in the water which really gives a super fresh feeling. I highly recommend it, especially if you have periodontal problems.
