I am an avid flosser and brusher, no cavities in decades. At 66 I had slight receding gum line in one area. My Hygienist recommended this waterpik product. I was STUNNED at what came out of my mouth in 35 seconds.

Disappointed in this product

I virtually never write a negative review but I am for this product. The water container is too small, with the result being that you cannot floss you entire mouth without turning off the pick and stopping to refill the container 1 or 2 times during a single flossing. Also, the lid the water container does not stay open on its own for filling ... requiring the user to hold it open with a finger when filling. In short, the inconvenience of using this product will be a deterrent to development of a routine water flossing habit.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I am very happy with this product. I much prefer this alternative to flossing. I do believe the Waterpic is more effective as well. However, I am now on my 3rd Waterpic in less than a year. For some unidentified reason, the operating speed of the Waterpic "slows down" after a short period of usage. This is very frustrating because when the Waterpic functions properly, it is incredibly effective. I am hopeful I will not experience the "slowdown" in performance with my 3rd device. If I do, I will look for another alternative.

I had an irritation in my gums, I thought was an infection. My daughter who works for a dentist suggested I buy a Waterpic. I bought this waterpik and in 3 days my gums were clear. In a month using it twice a day; when I went for a cleaning at the dentist a perio pocket had gone from 9 to 7. All the years going to dentists and periodontists, no one ever recommended this? I guess it would cost them money in the long run; due to lack of business? I'm a believer!
