I have used a Waterpik for a long time, but my old one finally gave out after years of faithful service. The new model is more streamlined and takes up less counter space, but still does a great job, with a powerful stream to clean out all the nooks and crannies. I hate dental floss and the Waterpik does a very thorough job without all the aggravation of flossing (yes, I'm lazy). Great product, and it ensures that I get great checkups.
I bought this for my grandson who has ASD, we were having problems with him keeping his teeth brushed and flossed. This product has made such a difference, he now enjoys taking care of his teeth and have never seen those teeth and gums look so good.
I bought this appliance several weeks ago to replace an older model tank reservoir one. The portable one does not hold enough water for a single thorough flossing nor does it have the pressure that the old one did. Charging the battery for eight hours after using the thing for an hour and a half seems insane. I recommend shelling out the extra cash and buy an adjustable pressure tank type water pik.

We are sorry that you unhappy with this model. The unit is intentionally small as it is designed more for those with very little counter space and for travel. You are correct that it does not have as high of pressure than the counter top models, however, that does not necessarily make it any less effective. Also, it has a nickel hydride battery and should be recharged overnight (8-10 hours) after every 6-8 uses. I hope this information helps!
Water pressure is too low for effective flossing. Good for cleaning between teeth.

Thank you for the review. If you haven't already tried it, the high pressure jet tip (clear) does have significantly higher pressure than the low pressure tip (blue).
I purchased this product after I thought the first one I had was damaged. But the Second one had same issue. The battery would not hold charge. Waste of money. I’m disappointed.
