I can't give this model 5 stars, only because I have previous experience with a full-size WaterPik, with the large water reservoir and independent tip and tubing. As a young adult with braces (many years ago), I bought a WaterPik and used it religiously. I never had a cavity throughout my entire course of orthodontia. This model has less maneuverability, and in order to do a good job, the water reservoir needs filled at least twice during a single use. However, if this is what a person can afford, I would say that a compact WaterPik is better than no WaterPik at all. In my experience, brushing, flossing, and using a WaterPik is a recipe for great oral health.
I have this less than 3 weeks and suddenly it started acting up. The one tip refuses to work.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
