The hand unit is comfortable to hold, but when turning on, it automatically starts squirting water, and I have squirted myself and the mirror many times not always having my finger on the blue pause button. Redesign?

I bought this waterpik because I had some dental work that would require me to use a waterpik to keep my teeth as clean and plaque free as possible. I was surprised to find out how much I enjoy using my Waterpik. It helps to keep my teeth very clean and healthy along the gum line and between my teeth. The feeling I have in my mouth after using it reminds me of the clean fresh feeling you have after a professional teeth cleaning. Very glad I purchased this Waterpik!

Just bought #3 and it is the best cleaning tool and my dentist says that

I am still learning how to use this thing. Water seems to cover the handle area when in use. Hope this does not cause a problem? The travel unit is more of a problem. Don't like the on / off switch, it should not need that much pressure.
