I have had a couple of problems with the pressure when trying to use one of the attachments which it comes with - I tried cleaning it with hot water and this seemed to work but I don't think I should have had this problem I've only had it around 6 months.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Bought this after my Dentist recommended it since I have a difficult time flossing between my teeth. Recently got a bridge, the space between the bridge and teeth is so tight the floss shreds. The Waterpik works great and is easy to use. The higher settings are strong. I haven't had any problems with the pause button sticking yet. I wish I bought one years ago.

Overall I really like this product. The only 2 design considerations that I was unhappy with were:
1. Although it is great that I got all sorts of attachments, the case cant easily hold them all.
2. It seems like it would have been more intuitive if the button you held on the waterpik was to initiate the stream rather than interrupt it, meaning that by default, the water is shooting out and you have to hold the button to stop it. Seems like it should have been the other way around.

So glad I took advantage of the 20% off sale. Never have to floss with dental floss again. No longer messy (it has a pause button) and it looks great on the counter. Lots of accessory tips, but only need one. Was having difficulty cleaning under a bridge and behind some very crooked teeth. Problem solved.
