This is easy to use, and comes with a choice of settings. It holds enough water to clean your whole mouth without a refilling. I like that you can turn the water flow on and off from the handle once the unit has been turned on.
If this does for my gums what my dentist said it would it will be a great product. But still, a lot of design flaws. You have to keep refilling it over and over before you're done. And there's a learning curve if you set the wand down while it's turned off water is still in the hose and will flood everything. You must learn to keep it in its holder at all times it's not in your hand. And with refilling the tank so many times it's easy to accidentally drop the Top which holds all the attachments into the water and then you have to dry everything off.
The Waterpik does an excellent job cleaning my teeth. I took the Waterpik challenge and found my teeth as clean as after a dentist's cleaning.
Be sure and use lukewarm water. You'll get a shock if you use cool or cold water! During first use begin with a lower setting. The water comes out of the arm/tip quite fast and forcefully.
The counter top system has a lot of "stuff" sitting on the counter when it is in use. The handle with tubing, the base, the water reservoir, the top with the tips. The components will probably get wet during use. The nearby space as well.
When one is done flossing, all these components have their own place, the entire system fits neatly into a relatively small space.
The bottom line is that once the Waterpik begins sending high pressure water it does a fabulous job!
