I wanted something to enhance flossing and rinse areas in the back of my mouth. To this point I have heated water and mixed sea salt in before adding to the reservoir. After flossing I run water past all of my gum line. The lower pressure settings have been sufficient. I've only used the main attachment and the brush which I have used as a tongue brush. A bit of a learning curve involved to keep from making a mess but I like the product.
I bought the house and travel unit package. The house unit pump is extremely loud but works great, havent use the travel unit yet so I dont know how loud it is.
My last Waterpik purchased through my dentist lasted less than a year. The connector hose split and then leaked. So, I purchased another one and we do like it. This new design has a smaller water tank and we feel it is too small. We fill it twice, which is a small inconvenience. We appreciate the job it does in keeping our teeth and gums healthy.
I have been using this for a few weeks I previously used a rechargeable unit. I love the fact that this one plugs in and has several different levels of power and several different attachments.
