Non-functional after a couple of years.

This model stopped working after a couple of years. Just stopped, no warning. I have a Waterpik from the 1980's that's still working, and a classic from 10 years ago that's still working, but this model is not. I've since read that the switch is defective. I wish there was a reasonable competitor to Waterpik to get them to up their game. By the way I prefer the performance of my classic models over this one. If I can't find a classic to purchase I will be forced to buy another one of these but I'm not happy.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I purchased my Waterpik about a month ago after doing research and watching videos. I have periodontal disease and have been requiring 4 month appts but I am confident that I will be able to back to 6 month cleaning appointments. I was pleasantly surprised that it was not difficult to use the Waterpick without getting a shower.

I was always interested in the concept of the WaterPik, but never made the effort to get one until I was fitted with braces last month! That, was the deciding factor in my purchase and all I can think is why did I wait so long? This little device is great...my mouth has never felt this clean before, and I am one who takes meticulous care of my teeth!
