Regrettably, TV wall mounting and installation are not included whenever you purchase a TV from Best Buy. These services are, however, always available for an additional fee. For more information and pricing, I would strongly encourage you to check out the following link:

Question

The wall I want my tv mounted on doesn't have a cable outlet.

There is only one cable outlet in the room where I would like to have a 32" flat screen mounted. This outlet currently is being used for a cable modem and router for the entire house. Can this signal be split, or does and additional cable outlet need to be installed?

The best thing to do is call up your Cable provider and talk with them about the proper solution. They should be able to handle setting up television service and internet service for you.

Question

My Fireplace only has one stud in the center, 24" to the outside studs

My Fireplace only has one stud in the center, 24" to the other outside studs

I have a full motion wall mount already but it requires two studs.

Can you install this? Will it cost extra and would you have to open the wall and add more studs?

It is a prefab wood burning fireplace with drywall above it, the wall is hollow, ~3 feet to the next wall behind it

47" LCD (~61 lbs + 30 lbs for the mount)

Also, what about the lateral stress on the studs when the TV is extended out from the wall (this wall mount extends 26" from the wall) Does it need to be reinforced to keep it from pushing the studs out at the bottom?

Robert, I am not an expert in construction, but you also seem aware of the need for reinforcement within the specified wall. Personally, I trust and adhere to manufacturer's specifications for mount installation. The safety of you and your equipment is very important to us. Therefore, a pre-installation consultation is strongly recommended. Our Geek Squad Installation specialist can help assess your unique needs and ensure proper installation is possible. Call 1-800-GEEKSQUAD (800-433-5778) to schedule and appointment.

Question

How much to just hang a flat screen TV?

I already have all cables and jacks fished and located on the walls. All I need is someone to mount the brackets and hang my two TVs. I don't need any cable work, just the mounting and hanging. How much is this? One TV is 32 in and the other is 55 in.

Question

What is the biggest TV that can be mounted in the corner of a room?

I'm think of getting an LED-LCD TV. I want to mount it in the corner of my room. Can a 40" LED-LCD TV(about 40 lbs, 39" wide) be mounted on brakets in the corner?

Part of your answer relies heavily on the mount chosen and how well it is mounted - and thus, the structure of your wall. While I have seen TVs in the 50 inch class mounted in corners (technically, on one wall but angled in the corner) - I highly recommend having an Agent perform a consultation to assess your unique needs. Call 1-800-GEEKSQUAD (800-433-5778) to schedule an appointment. We want to help you get it right - the first time!

Question

Does the Tilt wall mount turn right to left?

Does it turn on a horizontal axis (lft to right) or just up and down?

As we can see by the attached images, a "tilt mount" is usually remains flat (parallel) to the wall - it pivots on the horizontal axis (up and down). Whereas, a "full-motion" mount includes tilting and pivoting (left to right on the vertical axis). Of course, you'll want to choose the mount best suited for your TV size and installation. It is worth noting: some people may wish to rearrange their living space in the future and thus consider a full-motion mount should they later want to angle the TV away from the wall. For an in-home consultation, call 1-800-GEEKSQUAD (800-433-5778) to schedule an appointment.

Question

Will installers conceal power cord?

We're having a flat panel tv installed in our home...will the installers also conceal the power cord from the tv so it can't be seen? The tv will be mounted on our wall which is drywalled. I just wanted to know in case we have to look into having someone else come in to have it hidden.

Geek Squad Installers will conceal most cables EXCEPT the power cord. Isn't it a potential hazard, and perhaps a building code violation, to run a TV's standard power cord inside walls? A professional Electrician should be hired and complete work prior to your appointment if you want to move an outlet closer to the level of the TV. Call 1-800-GEEKSQUAD to schedule an installation to follow after the area is prepped.

Best Wishes!
