I had the same problem. They are metric, M6 and yeah, they should be provided. I was going to go the the hardware store to get some, but I decided to return the unit for other reasons.

Hope this helps...

Question

do I need an RF modulator for DVD player and cable?

How do I connect my Dynex TV to both the cable box and a DVD player, when the DVD player only has one place for a coaxial cable, not two? I tried connecting the coaxial cable from the wall the cable box, then cable box to the TV, then RCA cables between the TV and DVD player, and the cable didn't work that way. I tried looking online, and one site mentioned I would have to buy an RF modulator.

Is there no other way such as an av input or hdmi input to connect your dvd player? If not you will probably have to get a RF modulator like the othe site reccommended.

I'm not sure what type of cables you are using, but I would suggest HDMI to get the best sound and picture. That is how I have my PS3 hooked up (to another TV).

I've noticed certain broadcasts will come through on 1080i, not 1080p. Not sure if there's a connection there.

How are you turning the TV off? I've found the buttons on the TV itself can be a little touchy and perhaps they are sticking partially impressed. Or maybe you have a poltergeist.

There isn't a specific answer to this. It depends on how much you watch TV for how long. It's lifespan varies.

For instructions on programming your remote control and codes, consult your remote owner's manual or contact your service provider. If Dynex is not listed, try codes for Orion, Emerson, Memorex, Sansui, Sylvania, or Zenith. Alternatively, you may use your universal remote's scan or learning feature to find a working code.

To change your Tuner Mode between Cable and Antenna, enter the on screen menu, select TV and then Tuner Mode. You may then select Cable or Antenna as your Tuner Mode. However, if your TV is displaying a 480 resolution, you may need to adjust the signal source (e.g., your cable box or DVD player) to output a 720p signal. For more information on adjusting your component settings, consult the respective owner's manuals. I hope this helps.

The red light stays on to show that the TV is in stand-by mode and that it is still being supplied power by the outlet.

Yes you can but why? The power consumed in standby is less than 1 watt. That is, a 25 watt light bulb turned on for 1 hr consumes more energy than the TV in standby all day. A hairdryer used for 2 min uses more than this does all day etc etc. If you really want to do this, I suggest getting an outlet timer. Plugging and unplugging the TV will eventually wear out the plug or outlet.
