Questions & Answers for LG 3.5 Cu. Ft. 7-Cycle High-Efficiency Washer - White

Question

Which side does the door open? Can we change the door opening direction?

I want to know the side the door open (to your left hand side or right). The reason I am asking is, in the house we have to place the dryer to the left and washer to the right. So I need the dryer door open to left and the washer door open to right, so that opening both door at the same time will not block moving the cloths from washer to dryer.

O.k this is just a quick break down to see a full break down go to www.lgusa.com and use the compare tool.
They have the same spin speed 1100 rpm and capacity 4 cu.ft
The wm2101 is an older model all the new lg models have the 6 motion wash and smart diagnosis which wm2140 has. The wm2101 has the sanitize cycle which kills 99% of germs and bacteria the 2140 doesn't.

5-20 gallons depending on amount or weight of clothes

The amount varies with the weight and type of items in the washer, and whether or not you select "extra water" manually. But it is little enough that unless you want extra water, you normally do not see the water in the tub as it washes. The clothes are clearly wet, but they are not sloshing around in water. My old washer used up to 40 gallons per load (20 each to wash and rinse), and this one uses a small fraction of that. I know because of the quantity that gets pumped out at the end of the wash and rinse cycles.

You will need to use a HE detergent. All front loaders and High Efficiency machines require this as they all use less water and this is a low sudsing detergent, These detergents are also developed to work with the new cleaning action of these machines. It is also a good practice to use a tub cleaner once a month ( tide and affresh ). Remember not to close the door when the wash is finished as this promotes odors instead just leave it cracked open and I recommend to just crack the despenser open as well to allow for drying.

answer 2
Your washer is designed for use with only High-Efficiency (HE) detergents. HE detergents are formulated specifically for front-load washers and contain suds-reducing agents. Always look for the HE symbol when purchasing detergent.
HE detergents produce fewer suds, dissolve more efficiently to improve washing and rinsing performance, and help to keep the interior of your washer clean. Using a regular detergent may cause excessive sudsing and unsatisfactory performance.

You can choose either the wdp3w or the wdp4w both fit this model. The only difference between the 2 pedestals is the wdp3w has a handle where as the wdp4w has a more sleek look no handle to open it, there is a slit or pocket along the top of the pedestal to stick you hand in to open it.

Any of the LG pedestals are compatible with this washer. You can mix and match colors if you like or stick with the one of the 2 white options.
