Questions & Answers for LG - 30" Self-Cleaning Freestanding Double Oven Electric Convection Range - Stainless-Steel

Question

Does this stove come with a broiler pan?

Our stove was delivered today and it did not have a broiler pan. I have always gotten a broiler pan with every stove I have ever purchased. You would think with one of the features being the infrared broiler that it would have been included. Where are we suppose to purchase the pan? Very disappointed that for $1700 they couldn't include a broiler pan.

Unfortunately, a broiler pan is not included with this oven. There is no specific 'broiler drawer' on this oven and any other broiler pan should be able to suit your broiling needs.

Question

Can the oven use the same electrical connection as my present range?

My present range is 20+ years old and has only one oven. Does this range require more electric capacity?
Also, will you take away my present range when you deliver the new one?

Question

How many and where are the oven heating elements located?

I would like details on where the heating elements are located in both ovens. Are there two elements in both ovens, one on the bottom and one on the top? Also any information on the infrared broil you can provide would be helpful. I have been searching for info and found nothing.

Bottom convection oven: one element on top. Top standard oven, one element on the bottom plus the infrared broiler on top. There isn't much about the broiler, but this is from LG's web site: LG's first infrared heating element gets your oven to broil temperature more quickly and cuts 20% off your cooking time on common items like hamburgers and chicken breasts. Infrared cooking- which uses the same technology as premium outdoor grills- also allows your food to be juicier than traditional thermal cooking.

I don't see why not. Per the owners manual, recommended: Flat bottom and straight sides. Heavy-gauge pans. Pan sizes match the
amount of food to be prepared and the size of the surface element. Weight of handle does not tilt pan. Pan is well balanced. Tight-fitting lids. Flat bottom woks.
Not recommended: Curved, grooved, or warped pan bottoms. Pans with uneven bottoms do not cook efficiently and sometimes may not boil liquid. Very thin-gauge metal or glass pans. Pans are smaller or larger than the element. Cookware with loose or broken handles. Heavy handles that tilt the pan. Loose-fitting lids. Woks with a ring-stand bottom.

Is stovetop prone to scratching?

I've read a number of postings indicating that smooth stovetops are prone to scratching. Is this stove any exception?

Question

Heat from lower oven impact the floor?

There is no lower storage or warming drawer on this model which means the lower oven is close to the floor. Can the heat from the bottom oven impact or damage the floor, or pose a safety issue?

Of course it wouldn't pose a safety issue if correctly installed. The heat should not affect the flooring at all. Please feel free to contact LG Customer Service at (800) 243-0000 or visit the LiveChat Team at www.LG.com/us/support for details.
