At this time, Hewlett-Packard does not ship recovery discs or operating system discs with HP notebook or desktop PCs. However, all current Hewlett-Packard desktop and notebook PCs will include a recovery partition on the hard drive that will allow for one copy of recovery media to be made. You can also contact the HP Technical Support department at 1-800-474-6836 to order recovery media.

This recovery information is an “image” of the computer as it was originally shipped and includes the operating system, drivers, and all software that was originally installed on the PC. The recovery media will not include an original OEM operating system disc. I apologize for any inconvenience this might cause.

The easiest way to transfer user-created files from one computer to another is by using an Ethernet crossover cable. We don't currently offer any on BestBuy.com though, so you may want to check your local store to see if any are available on-site.

Some HP refurbished products may or may not have small, slight blemishes or dents. These would not be severe, but barely noticeable, if at all.

Not a single scratch, it comes in perfect conditions. I wouldn't know for sure, but since there is several laptops like this on sale I guess it was a complete lot some store returned before being sold to the final costumer, so they can't sell it as new but it's the closest thing to be one.

This PC does not have a built-in dialup modem. You will need to add a third-party PCI modem or a third-party external USB modem for this functionality.

If you want to do any gaming this is not the laptop for you you want to find one with a nvidia or ati radeon video card it in. The intel video cards will leave you wanting more for games.

It's a great laptop, but if you're going to need to carry it around, it might be a little bit too big. If it's for home, it's perfect!

This is an excellent general-use laptop PC. It may not have enough video memory for graphics-intensive gaming or video streaming, however.
