Question

Voice recognition capability

Is this preinstalled "voice recognition capability" like Siri for use to control the laptop through voice commands? Or can I use it to type by talking and dictate memos, emails, etc, as something like Dragon Naturally Speaking software provides?

Lenovo does not consider memory a user upgradable option on this model, because it requires a partial disassembly of the computer to access the module.

By default it comes with a 4GB DDR3L SODIMM which can be swapped for an 8GB, but it would have to be done by someone familiar with working on laptop internals.

Note that if the tech is not Lenovo certified, and doesn't use an OEM Lenovo memory module, it will likely void your warranty.

The RAM on this unit is not considered to be a user upgradable item by Lenovo, since it requires a partial disassembly of the computer to access the module.

That being said, it is a standard DDR3L SODIMM, so if you are reasonably skilled at working on laptops, you should have no trouble swapping out the 4GB module for an 8GB.

Be aware, though, that this will likely void your warranty.

I was told no, hence my purchase of an external hard drive. Actually I find that I was storing too much stuff on my hard drive without considering the impact on processor speed and memory sticks are so cheap.

I would suggest checking the printer’s manufacturer website for the installation software. On occasion, the manufacturer will put the necessary installation information online.

I hope that helps!

I want to know if it will pick up signatures. I noticed that the stylus mentioned is rather fat and was wondering how thin the line would be?

Try a stylus made by Wacom. They have thin points and are primarily used for drawing. It might work well with signatures.

Yes but get the Jot Pro stylus which is fine tip and works best on this screen and is also magnetic and will stick to side borders of keyboard really strong as well as by the trackpad.

it's mainly the processor power/speed. I have the i5 version which is blazing fast for computing and multitasking. But the baytrail processor is good also just as powerful. If you are a student the baytrail will be fine. If you are using it for work and if you work as a graphics person it wouldn't be the best choice.
