I purchased the 40" model of this TV and it did NOT have a web browser. I phoned Samsung and different people gave conflicting answers. I pointed out that Samsungs website says a browser is included in the Smart Hub and their customer service says that they are planning to release it with their firmware.

Either way, Samsung should not be advertising a web browser if it is not ready for production.

A separate issue with this model is the remote which totally inadequate for typing. A Qwerty keyboard is in the works but it is and additional $99.00.

Question

True 120Hz Refresh Rate?

This Tv is advertised as 120Hz Motion Plus, but when you press info it says that it is 1920x1080i 60Hz (highest frequency). Why does it only show 60Hz and not 120Hz?

I've been told nothing is broadcast in 120Hz and that is why you only see 60Hz. There is no real advantage unless you're playing video games so it's not a big deal.

The reason you are seeing the 60Hz in the info box is because the info box only displays the signal’s actual Hz and screen resolution and not the info of the picture on the screen after the TV processes it. Meaning that the 60Hz you are seeing is the signals actual Hz and not the screen’s Hz. Currently there is no way to display the screen’s Hz in the info box. Coincidentally, the Samsung TVs can only accept a 60Hz signal.

You can add wireless to this tv with the Samsung Link Stick Wireless USB adapter.

Another option is to get a power-line adapter kit set up and then you can plug directly into the Ethernet of the TV.

You have a few options. This TV has a LAN plug on the back, which is also called a CAT 5 connection. This allows any high speed Internet cable to be plugged into it and you will be able to access Samsung Internet content as well as the built in. Netflix and Pandora apps. If your Internet connection is not near the TV then you can get the Netgear Powerline Ethernet adaptor. It uses your homes electrical lines to transmit high speed Internet throughout the house. You plug the adaptor into a wall socket near your router then connect the CAT 5 cable from the Netgear adaptor to the router. Near the TV plug another Netgear Powerline adaptor into a wall outlet from that adaptor connect a CAT 5 into your Samsung TV. You will now have the ability to stream HD movies to your new TV at speeds up to 200 bps. A great solution for people who don't have a fast enough wireless Internet connection.

You don't need a "High speed HDMI cable" the ones you have will work fine. There is also 2d-3d mode built into the TV for you to use at disposal, and VUDU allows you rent movies in HD 3D.

Aside purchasing a 3D BD player, you will also need HDMI 1.4 Highspeed cables to connect between the TV and BD player, and you will need the 2011 Samsung Bluetooth 3D Glasses to connect to the 2011 Samsung 3D TVs, like the UN46D6420. Of course you will also need 3D Blu-Ray movies (although you can view 2D content in 3D with the TV's 2D to 3D conversion processor).

Although I cannot tell you which one is better, since that decision has to be made by the consumer purchasing the product, I can tell you that from the available information, both the D6400 and hte D6420 are almost the exact same model. The only difference is that the D6420 is a Best Buy exclusive unit that offers a different bezel design and some Best Buy's own software in the unit.

From the available information, the 2010 Samsung Internet Capable TVs with Samsung Apps will have access to the ESPN Next Level app, but will not have access to ESPN3 web content since the 2010 TVs do not have a traditional web browser.

This unit does actually have a 1-tuner PiP system. PiP 1-tuner systems only allow for one cable connection to be shown at a time on the screen. In order to connect it up, you will need a hard line going into the TV (cable coax) and an active secondary connection (HDMI, component, PC). To activate it up, either head into the TV's menu or click the Tools button on the remote control.

Again, you will need both a coax connection and a secondary input connection in order to properly activate and view PiP on your set. If your option is grayed out, this means that one of the required connections is not active and connected properly.
