It will depends on how you use it. Heavy use will last around a full day(not watching movies). Average use mostly use on/off here and there may last a 1 or 2. Minimal used the battery last me almost a week just turning on read some email and do some online stuff. I'm on my second day at the time of writing this response with 85% battery. To answer your question Playing movies will last around 8hrs as other reviewers have said the same, I tried it before and is about right.

In order to install Office 2007 you need an external DVD drive. They are around $30. As to if it will run on Windows 8.1 I don't know if it will. I do know that Office 2010 does run though so it may be worth a shot.
All USB devices that are Windows compatible will run on the Surface Pro 2.

Hello there,

The Surface Pro 2 is compatible with all external USB drives. Office Home and Student 2007 can be downloaded to the Surface Pro 2 and is compatible with Windows 8.1. Because the Surface Pro 2 does not have a disc drive, you will need to download it to install it. For more information, please visit: http://www.microsoft.com/office/downloads/

I hope this was helpful to you.

Yes, I have CS6 on this laplet and it runs perfectly fine, you'll want to install the Wacom Wintab drivers on there so you can enable the pen's 1024(?) pressure points.

answer 2
The storage is a solid state type hard drive built in. The ram memory varies per model. You can expand your storage memory by using a micro sd media. I added a 64gb micro and it accepts that capacity and treats it like an additional hard drive.

Hello there,

Because there are so many all in one printers that work on the Surface Pro 2 running on Windows 8.1, its better to refer you to our Windows 8.1 compatibility website at : http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/compatibility/CompatCenter/Home Here you can look up the printer you have or are thinking about purchasing.

I hope this was helpful to you.
