Question

Will Best Buy sell the CX160/b?

Will Best Buy carry the CX160/B? I see the SKU 2550085 for the CX160/B, but this is a special order through Best Buy for Business and for some reason the price is $576.99. Will this product be available as a part of the regular selection?

Yes it will. This camcorder comes with a InfoLITHIUM® (NP-FV50) Battery.
Your camcorder operates only with an “InfoLITHIUM” V series battery packs

NP-FV50 / NP-FV70 / and NP-FV100 are all compatible with your camcorder.

Hello, Using the Supplied NP-FV50, a full charge on the battery will last approx 1 Hour and 15 minutes with average recording conditions on the highest resolution (HD). With continuous recording, the battery will last approx. Two and a half hours using HD.

For a longer life battery we would recommend the NP-FV100 (sold separately)
the NP-FV100 will give you over 5 hours of recording in HD with average recording conditions (Starting, stopping, zooming and so on) and almost 10 and a half hours for continuous recording in HD. Using standard definition will give longer life.

Flash memory has no moving parts and has less heat requirements, consuming less power giving you a longer battery life. The trade-off is storage size. you can compensate for this by adding up to a 32GB removable memory card (Memory Stick PRO Duo media, SD/SDHC media).

Yes, it can go 240fps - fast moving subjects and actions, which cannot be captured under the ordinary shooting conditions, can be shot in smooth moving slow-motion. Press START/STOP on the [Smth Slw REC] screen and a 3-second movie is recorded as a 12-second-slow-motion movie.
