The Sony MHS-FS2/V Camera does not have the option to capture a still image from a recorded video. You can install the PlayMemories Software in the Computer to use this feature and capture a still image while playing back the video in it.

The PlayMemories Software can be downloaded from the following link:

http://esupport.sony.com/US/p/swu-download.pl?mdl=MHSFS2&upd_id=8212&os_group_id=6

Refer the following link to view the steps to capture an image from a video using PlayMemories.

are you talking about if it comes with a flash of light when you take pictures? if you are, then the answer is yes & no, it does have a build in LED light to assist you with low light situations, but it doesn't actually flash when snap a shot like all other digital cameras, there is only a turn on/off light. in other words, you can turn on the LED light and leave it on so you can take your photo or video recordings in low light environment.

Question

What is the audio quality?

I want to know more about what the audio quality in videos is like. I'm mostly interested in what the audio quality is when recording live musicians perform. I go to a lot of rock concerts and I like to take video so I can remember the shows, because my long-term memory is terrible. My cellphone video audio is terrible when it comes to this even though I have a smart phone so I'm looking for a replacement option.

YES, but you will want a tripod that allows the camera to turn to the side (to take portrait style shots with a camera) Otherwise it shoots the tall videos (that look more like an iPhone or that style) I listed a few tripods that would work with the Flip. Best Buy has number of different tripods to choice from! Just make sure that it will turn the camera to the side.

answer 2
Number of still images and recordable time of movies
The number of still images and recordable time may vary depending on the shooting conditions.
4:3 (5M) 1309
16:9 (3M) 2890
16:9 (0.4M) 16105

• When the number of remaining recordable images is greater than 9,999, the “>9999” indicator appears.
• When images recorded using other cameras are played back on this camera, the display may differ from
the actual image size.
• When measuring media capacity, 1 GB equals 1 billion bytes, a portion of which is used for data
management.

1920×1080 30p 0:40:00 (0:22:00)
1280×720 60p 1:20:00 (0:36:00)
1280×720 30p 2:00:00 (0:54:00)
480×270 30p 8:00:00 (4:00:00)
The table below shows the approximate maximum recording times. These are the total times for
all movie files. Continuous shooting is possible for approximately 29 minutes.

NO.... and in the Bloggie Software you can NOT piece videos together. You could use iMovie on a Mac or Movie Maker with Windows or any other program. Best Buy has some editing software you could piece together some video clips such as Adobe Premiere, but they have other ones you may like just as well.
