Question

where to find case for NWZ E365

I purchased this walkman, NWZ E365 a few days ago. I have been searching the internet for two days and cannot find a case for it. Does anyone know of one that is compatible with this model? This 16gb is a little shorter than the 8gb.

There is no case available, not on the internet and not through sony. I have given up after a week of trying. Also,Sony does not even know very much about this unit. The person on the phone kept insisting that the e-series cases will fit this model e365. THEY DO NOT! This particular model is about 1/2" shorter than the other e models.

Loading up your new Walkman® player with music and videos is easy. Just drag and drop files from Rhapsody, Napster to Go, and other music service apps using Windows® Media Player, or Internet Explorer. you can play any non-DRM (digital rights management) file. With a Walkman player, you are never tied to just one music service. You can even Transfer non DRM files from iTunes using the included Content Transfer program.

As long as you get it onto a computer you should be able to get it onto the mp3 player. The only issue I can think of would be license protections, like if the music you have is all from Qrocity or whatever the PS3 uses. If its music you simply ripped from cds it should work. I know the Xbox has some silly protections when you use a flashdrive. At least try and transfer something from your PS3 to your computer with a flashdrive. As long as you can get it onto your computer and it is in mp3, wma or another supported file format, transfer to this player should be easy.

This is a great mp3 player, but not for someone who can't see well. It is small and the text would be difficult to read for someone with vision problems. Off the top of my head I would say an Ipod or another device with a larger screen is what you are looking for.

I would not recommend this one. I have a sony 16g. it is an ok player, but it is not intuitive at all. I bought it as a replacement for my wheel control Ipod, I wanted something I could wear on my arm which is too close for me to be able to read because of my failing eyesight. Physical controls are required , so I gave this one a try. Like I said ok, but not great. And Sony software is absolutely horrible, even worse than Itunes.

In theory you should be able to see the characters. Since the Walkman can sync with Windows Media Player, which is capable of recognizing Korean, Japanese, and Chinese characters (tried and seen this myself), it should also be able to recognize those values. I haven't actually done this yet but I was going to get around to doing it very soon.

The Walkman has the language settings in Korean. However, if the album info of a Song is in Korean the Walkman will not be able to display the characters for the unit does not have the software to display the Korean metadata embedded within the file.

When browsing music albums, can it display the album art (i.e. CD cover) next to each album? If yes, does it support album art embedded in the mp3 files?

Yes to both. When searching through your library under the Album Category you will have a small cover art photo if avail. when playing the song a larger version of the album art will display also if avail.

Can I connect to a stereo?

It is all dependent on the Stereo. If your stereo has a USB port that can support a walkman directly, it is prefered, however if your stereo does not have a USB port but has a Line in you can connect your walkman from the headphones jack to the audio in .

The AC-U501AD USB Charging Adapter (Sold Separately) will allow you to charge from AC by plugging your USB cable direcly into it.
