Questions & Answers for Geek Squad® - Remote Start and Keyless Entry Installation (Hardware Not Included)

Question

The actual cost out the door

I have a 2008 Ford Escape XLT and am wondering if this package includes all that is necessary to complete the install.

So the actual cost would be $179.99 after rebate, then add tax.

No. Almost all vehicles require two additional parts. One part is approximately $10 and the other is anywhere from $100-$300 depending on your vehicle. If you call the Geek Squad and tell them what vehicle you have, they will give you an "out the door" price for it.

I think there's usually another $130 for interfacing parts if you need it to open doors or communicate with anti-theft systems.

Actual installation cost for a 2012 Ford Focus (key start)

Can you give me an estimate for the extra fees/costs during installation for the Viper 4115V1B Remote Start System on a 2012 Ford Focus with a key start (not push button) on top of the $139.99 for the remote and Geek Squad install?

The remote start will work, but you'll have to add power locks if you want keyless entry.

Question

I need a ballpark figure before purchasing...

I have a 2016 Toyota Tacoma SR. I have power door locks, but I can only control them inside the vehicle because I don't have a fob; I have an "h-key".

Question #1: If I purchase this product, what additional components will I need, and how much ballpark figure am I looking at?

Question #2: If I purchased Avatal Model 4103 with Xpresskit Dball2 Interface Module from Directed Electronics, can you install it for me and what will be the ballpark figure?

Thanks.
