Office Starter 2010 is free, just has advertisements in the right part of the screen (only Word and Excel). The Office Home and Student key card is around $119.

The Microsoft Office Starter will not require a key card unless you would like to upgrade to a different version of Microsoft Office. I apologize for any confusion. The price for upgrading depends on which version of Microsoft Office you need.

For games garphics card is the thing that matters. I suggest if you want to plya games buy a computer with a dedicated seperate graphics card. The 2.2 GHz processor is fast and if you just play some online games then this computer would be fine. If you want to play games like crysis or battlefield 3 then this computer won't be able to do it. And you won't be able to change the processor because it uses a different kind of socket and there are no upgrades available for this processor. You will have to change the whole motherboard.

You should be able to use your printer if it is Windows 7 compatible and has the correct connections EX: wireless, USB etc. HP does not test or support 3rd party products. I recommend contacting Canon directly for driver compatibility information.

Question

Are you aware that the photos shown for this model are the incorrect model?

All of the pictures are of a different model. Ex. one of the pictures shows a Firewire port, this PC does not have one. The design of the case is also slightly different. The same image that shows the Firewire port also shows S-Video and Composite in, something else this PC does not have. And in the product description it says that it has integrated 6ch sound which is also not true.

Source of information: I own a p7-1254

Not surprised, pictures are often generic given the plethora of models and overall similarity. I bought mine off the shelf in the retail store so I knew what I was getting. You're right about the limited video connectivity - just VGA and DVI on this model. Kind of surprising for such a capable machine, but this one was really cheap for the processor power, memory and disc capacity, and maybe that explains it. Most Pavilions have a separate graphics card and this one definitely does not. I purchased this for really basic applications so I didn't care.

this pc can run skyrim at 1280x720 all high settings at playable framerates(not perfect fps but decent) most current games or very demanding games will require some more graphics power. with some adjustments can possibly get widescreen resolutions high settings on fairly modern games (depending) this onboard graphics setup (apu) is pretty nice, but if you add a graphics card you wont really use it......still, at least these apu amd's dont lag on screen savers like most comps without a dedicated video card...

You will need a video card upgrade if you plan to do any heavy gaming.
Keep in mind, it only has a 300W power supply, and only one PCI Express X16 slot so no SLI cards are possible. Try a 2GB card with an ATI chipset to maximize performance.
