Question

Can I adjust the screen to prevent glare?

I can seen myself just like looking into a mirrow on the screen. This makes it hard to edit photos correctly. Is there anyway to make an adjustment so there is no screen glare? or a product that can be used to correct it? It's even worse if I am working out on my covered patio.

You would need to buy some third party physical filter to achieve this. There are no software or hardware settings to reduce glare.

The Tru-Brite screen is designed to give you better contrast and sharper images, and as a result does have a glossy screen rather than a matte screen. There is no adjustment to reduce this, other than moving the screen to reduce the reflections of bright objects behind you.

There are screen protectors on the market that claim to reduce glare, but I can't speak to how well they work.

As I understand your question, you want to restore the computer to the state it was in when new.

DOING THIS WILL DELETE ALL THE DATA AND PROGRAMS YOU HAVE INSTALLED ON THE COMPUTER! BACK UP YOUR INFORMATION FIRST.

Hold down the 0 (zero) key when you power on the computer. As long as the restore partition on the hard drive is intact, this will take you through restoring the factory image.

This model uses Intel® HD graphics which are integrated with the processor, so there is no discrete video card that can be replaced.

Yes but you would lose all the factory Toshiba drivers and utilities needed to run many of the internal componets. You would also lose the ability to use the HDD Recovery from BIOS.

If I understand your question correctly, you're wanting to return your computer to the out-of-the-box state. This will return your computer to the way it was when new.

FOLLOWING THIS PROCEDURE WILL WIPE OUT ALL YOUR DATA ON THE COMPUTER!

IF POSSIBLE, BACK UP ALL DATA AND PROGRAMS YOU'VE INSTALLED ON THE COMPUTER BEFORE RESTORING.

Hold down the 0 (zero) key at the top of the keyboard, not on the keypad, when you power on the computer. As long as the restore partition on the hard drive is intact, this will take you through restoring the factory image.

The discs are not included in the box. However, you have two options.

To create a set:
From Windows desktop screen, click
"Start"
"All Programs"
"Toshiba" folder
"Support & Recovery" folder
"Recovery Media Creator"

This utility creates the recovery media you're looking for.

Should you need to restore, and don't have the discs, hold down the 0 (zero) key when you power on the computer. As long as the restore partition on the hard drive is intact, this will take you through restoring the factory image.
