Hello,

You are correct in guessing that there is not parallel port available on the Inspiron 620s. These ports have been phased out on consumer equipment over the past few years. I think that your best bet is a Parallel-to-USB cable or adapter. Here is an example:

Model: DX-UBPCSKU: 7131123

You can always search Best Buy for "Parallel USB" to view all of the options and select one that might best fit your needs.

Hope this helps!

answer 2
Hello,

This Inspiron 620 comes with the Intel HD 2000 integrated graphics controller. This GPU is actually located inside the Intel i3-processor, leaving an available PCI Express x16 slot open. You can plug in a video card into this slot later and have it take over the graphics duties of the system.
The power supply of the system is rated at 300 Watts. This should help with your video card selection in the future.

Hope this helps!

Hello,

Although this Inspiron 620 comes with the Intel HD 2000 on-board video, it can accept a PCI Express x16 discrete video card as well. Once you plug in the discrete video card, the HD 2000 video controller will switch off and allow the new card to control the video functions.
I have seen people install cards like the Radeon HD 6670. The power supply of the Inspiron 620 is rated at 300 Watts.

Hope this helps!

Hello,

Yes, the Inspiron 620 has both VGA and HDMI video outputs and can support up to 2 monitors from these ports. You might need to get an HDMI to VGA or DVI adapter if your monitor does not support this port.
If you ever decided to install a discrete video card into the PCI Express x16 slot, then you would hook up the multiple monitors from the card from that point on.

Hope this helps!

Hello,

The Inspiron 620 can handle of to 8GB of DDR3 1333MHz memory. You would upgrade by purchasing a matching 4GB stick of memory and swapping it with the existing 2GB memory stick already installed.
The Dimension 4600 uses a different type of memory and the memory sticks cannot be interchanged between the two systems.

Hope this helps!
