Questions & Answers for Samsung - Brightside Cell Phone - Black (Verizon Wireless)

Question

Just bought a Samsung Brightside and when I make a call ( as soon as I dial) the screen goes black.

How can I keep the screen on a Samsung Brightside from going black right after I dial a call. Can wake it up but then it goes dark again and again. Need to have it stay illuminated so you can interact with it if you're paying online bills etc.. thanks

No, the phone is autoset to go black per-the proximity sensor. If you have the phone on speaker that will help. Also, changing the time-out screen settings will do the trick there.

Well, the brightside does not have the rhapsody app (at least I'm pretty sure it doesn't)
Just get songs from "youtube-mp3"
and transfer them to your Memory on the phone.
hope that helps :)

Email it to yourself. You can't do anything else on your phone to see it bigger.

Question

Why can the black verstion of this phone download games but this one can't?

I was looking at the product descriptions on this website and I happened to compare two sets of two different phones and in both cases the black versions indicated that they could download games but the ones with a different color said they could not. Why is this?

no, that's one reason why I chose it! I am getting used to it, and like it better all the time! But I did not want to have to get a smart phone type that required the data plan.... and this one does not require data plan.

With Verizon service, this phone does not require a data plan, but one can be added later if you prefer. Check with your carrier before you purchase to verify this information is valid with YOUR phone plan.

I’m sorry you are having an issue with your device. Although with the information you have provided I do not have a solution for you; contacting the Geek Squad or Samsung Support (refer to your device's manual for more information or visit Samsung's website) would be your best next course of action.
