I'm not familiar with an optical splitter, nor does Samsung manufacture such a device. I would have to suggest that you contact a dedicated Best Buy associate for more information on this device.

Actually, there is only one consideration you would need take into account when connecting other devices to a Samsung TV. The HDMI 1 port will be the port you would want to connect a PC to, since it offers the "PC" source setting. However, you can connect any of your devices to any of the HDMI ports since they all support the same input standard and all the ports will also support 3D.

Question

Can you tell me more about the different finishes on the various 50" models? I like more of a matte-look, which model might be right for me?

My room is very open and bright, lots of windows and glare potential.

Samsung only offers two different panel finishes: a semi-glossy finish that can be found on all of the "EH" models, and the glossy Ultra Clear Panel finish on the UN50ES6900 and all other "ES" models. Both panels will offer limited glare reduction features and both will provide superb viewing.

Great question! Although the speaker system on the Samsung TVs offers rich and clear audio quality, I can understand the desire to have a higher fidelity audio experience. To do so, I would recommend that you acquire an A/V receiver or SoundBar, since there is no physical way to connect just speakers to the TV (unless the speakers offer an onboard sound driver) and no way to control their volume from the TV itself (since the TV’s audio output is Fixed and not variable). To connect the TV to the receiver, please use either RCA cables, 3.5mm jack to RCA or optical cables to connect from the TV's audio outputs to the receiver's audio inputs.

Like all of the other Samsung 3D TVs, the UN50ES6900 will indeed offer native 2D picture playback, native 3D picture playback, and 2D to 3D conversion. Each one of these options can be activated by pressing the 3D button on the remote control.

I'm sorry for the confusion, but the Samsung TVs will not offer interchangable stands and will only come with the stand that is designed for that specific TV.

To adjust for ghosting on fast moving images, I would first suggest adjusting the Auto Motion Plus option in your TV's menu. Settings are based on your personal preference, so unfortunately, I cannot provide any incite as to how to set up your TV. However, I can provide you with a list of what each setting does.

Auto Motion Plus Settings:
Off- Switches Auto Motion Plus off.
Clear- Provides high blur reduction, low judder reduction
Standard- Provides medium blur reductions, medium judder reduction
Smooth- Provides low blur reductions, high judder reduction.
Custom- Allows for customer user settings for blur and judder.
Demo- Displays the difference between Auto Motion Plus 120Hz on and off modes. The screen after applying “Auto Motion Plus” appears on the left.

Auto Motion Plus is found under the following directions:
MENU → Picture → Picture Options → Auto Motion Plus

If these options do not alleviate the issue, please contact Samsung Support.

All UN, PN and LN units (North American Units) will only have support for ATSC/QAM broadcasting systems and NA power systems. Since the NA TVs will not accept a PAL signal or Non-NA voltages, you will not only need a converter for the broadcast, but also for the power if you would like to use the TV in a PAL country or in a different power environment. Unfortunately, I will not be able to recommend a specific converter since Samsung cannot offer support for products we do not manufacture.

The ES6900 does indeed have the capability to playback limited Flash content. However, the TV itself cannot be directly updated from Adobe. Please keep checking back on Samsung's own website for information on any future firmware updates.
