Unless the GT-P5113 advertised and sold in Canada is a different animal from the US (or other worldwide) versions, it has Gorilla Glass

Although the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 will not offer Gorilla Glass, it will offer Samsung's own Glass panel that offers impact, shatter and scratch resistance.

I'm sorry for the confusion, but the Android OS will not offer compatibility with iTunes out of the box. There are, however, apps on the Google Play Market that allow for iTunes Syncing (unfortunately, I cannot recommend any of these apps specifically since they are not Samsung produced apps).

Is the physical design same as the older version? I mean the dimension , openings for headphone / USB cable etc are the same as the older version? I want to buy cover case / accessories for Tab 2 , but now I can only find accessories for Tab 10.1.

Close. The new model has the speakers in a new location for better sound quality. The dimensions and weight a slightly different as well. But not by much. There's also the added microSD port.

Although some accessories, like the USB power cable, should be compatible between the two Tabs, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 will actually offer a slightly different design to its predecessor and may not be 100% compatible in regards to headphone placement and Cases.

Although Skype should be compatible and downloadable from the Google Play Store, I would suggest contacting Skype directly for information on compatibility.

I have this question as well, ESPECIALLY SINCE THE PRODUCT SPECIFICATIONS SHEETS ARE INCOMPLETE.
Based on the sheets, it looks like the more expensive w 3.1 operating system has no USB or SD drive but has a better display and a longer battery life. An earlier comment implied that this one had Gorilla Glass.

what is the different between tab2 10.1 and old tab 10.1?
I read about that they have same processor, same ram and storage capacity, same camera and not big difference on live power. Then other than the difference on the design and ability of IR and microSD card, what are different?

The newer versions (Galaxy tab 2 7" and 10") are loaded with a 1Ghz processor and have the newest version of Android operating system (Ice cream sandwich).
It does have a very bright screen with adjustable levels that can be accessed from an easily accessible shortcut as well as an automatic level for those who change lighting situations often. It is not gorilla glass.

There are actually a few differences between the Tab 10.1 and Tab 2 10.1:
1. Processor: Although they both offer a dual-core 1 GHz cpu, the Tab 2 will offer an udated TI OMAP version
2. Camera: The Tab 10.1 will offer a 2mp front facing camera, while the Tab 2 10.1 offers a VGA front facing camera
3. SD Card: The Tab 2 10.1 will offer an microSD card reader that will support up to 32GB of storage, while the Tab 10.1 requires a separate dongle for SD card reading
4. IR Blaster: With the included IR Blaster, the Tab 2 10.1 can be used as a universal remote, helping you easily find your favorite shows. The Tab 10.1 will not offer this feature.
