No ports for a docking station. Best option would be a USB powered port replicator if they are available.

No, it doesn't have back-lit keys, but the brightness of your computer can easily light up your keyboard at night or in the dark but it can also be very dim.

The video card looks way below the minimum requirement (ATI Radeon™ X1950 Pro or better)
http://www.videocardbenchmark.net/common_gpus.html
HP gets 429
minimum requirement has a score of 827

I looked as the PassMark CPU Benchark website.
The HP laptop gets a benchmark of 2,299
Diable 3 requires an AMB 64 x2 4400+ which benchmarks at 1,150

So probably No.

I struggled with the same question, my friend. After much research I came out with this:
Intel
Good for multi-tasking
Plays casual games
Surfs the web easily
Graphics cards suck
AMD
Slower processor but with turbo booster
Better graphics cards
Excellent for watching and editing HD video
Good for some 3D games
I personally went with AMD because they have a MUCH better graphics card and the processor really isn't all that slow with turbo boost. Hope this helped!

Intel and AMD are competing processor manufacturers and have a few subtle differences in how their processors operate. Choosing between AMD and Intel processors is mostly a matter of personal preference. Hewlett-Packard supports both types of processors and does not recommend one over the other.

Yes, i understand I'm 17 and i love playing games i play left for dead 2 and other games on here, this laptop is also great for Skype i Skype with friends back home all the time, the sound is also great so you'll be able to pop in any movies you wanna watch also. If you do get the laptop for $20 more, you can get anti-virus program that works really well i have it, and its blocked out a lot of unwanted viruses.

The hard drive is replaceable, although you will need to create a backup disc before you do so. The bluetooth card can be removed, as can the wifi card, although I wouldn't recommend doing this unless you know what you are doing.

The CPU, while theoretically swappable, really isn't. It is behind plastic that is difficult to remove, and you will break the casing if you try (trust me on this). The A4 on the 1237dx was soldered on, so, even if you got to it, you still have more to do. The ODD is also replaceable, although you can't RAID HDDs in the cleared slot (at least I havent been able to).

The radios and HDD are all in the same area after removing the backplate.
