Check the brush on the bottom and see if it has anything tangled around it. If, cut it out. You may also want to see if there is a belt that you can replace for the bottom brush.

it's possible that debris may have gotten caught in or wrapped around the vacuum's beater bar. If you haven't already done so, make sure to examine both the vacuum head and wheels for blockage.

Hi this is Jessica with Dyson Customer Service.

Dyson machines are only intended for use in the country where they are sold, for example, all machines sold in the U.S. are engineered for use with the 110/120v electrical system. We do not recommend using Dyson machines in alternate countries as they will not meet the proper legislation and the warranty may be voided. We also do not recommend using our machines with adapters or converters. However, Dyson machines are sold in territories that use higher voltage such as the UK, Australia and Europe.

Please let us know if you have any additional questions and we will get back to you as soon as possible.

Best wishes,

Jessica

Question

Is the cord retractable and is there a place to store it. Tried putting it back where I first pulled it out, but it was impossible.

Cord is not retractable, but there is a little nubby hook that moves on the handle and you can wrap the cord yourself on the back.

The cord on mine is not retractable. With that being said, I am able to wrap it nicely on the 'legs' provided for that purpose.

It's not retractable. That would be a cool feature, but imagine if the retractable feature broke? That would be a pain. I do know from what see, you just roll it up.

I think you may have posted your question in association with the wrong unit. (?) The upright doesn't have a retractable cord. You just wind it around the two pegs in the back.

Hi this is Jessica with Dyson Customer Service.

The DC41 does not have a retractable cord. The cord is meant to be stored on the back of the machine. Dyson engineers design our vacuums to be light weight and maneuverable. Adding components – like the retractable cord mechanism – adds weight. We are constantly working to improve Dyson machines. In fact, our canister vacuums – like our latest DC39 – features a retractable cord.

Please let us know if you have any additional questions and we will get back to you as soon as possible.

Best wishes,

Jessica

Question

Difference between DC41 animal & DC25 animal

I am looking at the DC41 Animal and the DC25 Animal. There seems to be an exterior difference around the Ball (motor housing) like plumbing. Can you tell me the difference between the 2 models?

I don't know what the DC25 is, sounds like and older one, maybe without the ball, for maneuvering. I have the DC41 and it is the best vacuum ever. You won't regret buying it, especially if you have a shedding dog.

Hi this is Jessica with Dyson Customer Service.

Thank you for your interest in Dyson technology. As you mentioned both machines feature Dyson Ball technology, however, there are a few differences to consider. The DC25 is a mid size machine engineered for use on hard floors and carpets. The DC41 is also intended for use on all floor types, however, it is a full size machine. It is slightly larger than than the DC25 with a longer power cord and bigger clear bin. It is our newest full size upright machine featuring our latest cyclone and cleaner head technology.

However both machines are designed to effectively remove dust, dirt and pet hair from your home.

Please let us know if you have any additional questions and we will get back to you as soon as possible.

Best wishes,

Jessica

Question

difference

I noticed that you have two dyson animals.
Dyson - DC41 Animal HEPA Bagless Upright Vacuum - Iron/Rich Royal Purple
and
Dyson - DC41 Animal Complete Bagless Upright Vacuum - Iron/Satin Rich Fuchsia
both seem same when going over the specifications so maybe you can tell me what is different between the two. (other than price and color.)
Thank you for your help.

They are pretty much exactly the same but the animal complete comes with additional attachments such as a head that connects to the hose to let you use it on stairs or furniture and clean ceiling fan blades, along with a couple others. To buy the attachments separately will cost more than the whole complete bundle.
