Question

Any one deal with a load paper error even though there's paper in it?

It appears that the rollers inside the printer aren't grabbing the paper to move it so the printer can print. Any one deal with this? Should I just buy a new printer or get this one serviced?

I have include some information on how it works with an answering machine on the HP 7525. If you turn on the Auto Answer setting, you can specify how many rings occur before incoming calls are automatically answered. The Rings to Answer setting is important if you have an answering machine on the same phone line as the printer, because you want the answering machine to answer the phone before the printer does. The number of rings to answer for the printer should be greater than the number of rings to answer for the answering machine. For example, set your answering machine to a low number of rings and the printer to answer in the maximum number of rings. (The maximum number of rings varies by country/region.) In this setup, the answering machine answers the call and the printer monitors the line. If the printer detects fax tones, it receives the fax. If the call is a voice call, the answering machine records the incoming message.

Question

Scanning/copying: Must the lid be closed?

I understand that the lid is not hinged in a way that permits it to be closed over thick items, such as books. Does the lid actually NEED to be closed when copying or scanning? That is, will these functions still work with the lid open?

I think this would be a challenge, as you can copy onto glass, but the top loader is not very heavy, so it would require you to physically hold it down if the book or magazine was unable to lay completely flat due to the binding. I had a relatively thin school book of my sons, and I ended up tearing the page out to make copies of it.

I use my 7520 printer for my family history genealogy research. I am very and I mean very pleased with the results of the copies I have made. I have made copies from just about every medium. A few times I have had to make several practice copies; I had to learn how to make my printer do what I wanted to get the results I wanted. So try different settings and editing.

The ink cartridge ink levels are automatically sensed. Generally, the printer will notify you if a cartridge is getting "low". Anything below the 1/8th level I would consider getting ready to replace.
