"Is the touchscreen any good? Does it break easily?"

I found the touchscreen to be quite durable unless dropped, bumped, hit, kicked, punched, thrown, or otherwise jostled.

In truth, it looks about as durable / breakable as any other laptop screen. I wouldn't recommend doing any of the above. ; )

Yes, you can always make internal modifications... but I would buy a cane first so you'll be able to walk after you shoot yourself in the foot. ; )

As far as I can tell it's a full Windows 8 touch-compatible system... but in my testing it had compatibility issues in other areas that caused me to return the two units I tried.

"USB drive doesn't show as a boot option in the BIOS".

I hadn't noticed that... but I found other system incompatibilities that were verified in an exchange, so it doesn't surprise me there are bios limitations as well.

To my knowledge no other colors, and other users report 4gig RAM is the max (which isn't surprising for an ultra-slim netbook). So unless the SPECS say can be upgraded... I'd believe the 4gig limit.

The maximum RAM is already installed and it only comes in one color. If you are looking for a notebook with different colors you can look into the X501.

check to make sure the touchpad is enabled. look at the keyboard for the Fn key; press it with the key associated with enabling and disabling the touchpad (find the key with the touchpad icon located on the keyboard). A message should appear on the screen to inform you that you have enabled or disabled the touchpad.

You will have to check with best buy to see if they have international service plans available. This will work in Australia. You just have to purchase an outlet converter.

Both. But of course availability always depends on your location and whether or not they're sold out online.

Looks like it's because you have a touchscreen where you can scroll and pinch to zoom. You can always go on our support site and download asus smart gesture. Not sure if this will work however.

Here is the link below if you want to use the feature on your trackpad.
