My experience has been with high-definition video. I have determined that for each 2 GB of memory I can save 3 to 4 hours of video.

Question

Will this 2 GB SanDisk Memory Card work with Gateway DC-M42 camera

The DC-M42 specs on the Gateway website call for a 256 mb memory card. Yet BestBuy offers 2 GB cards for this model, SanDisk and PNY. The older 256 MB cards seem out of the market.
Thanks

SD cards are from 128MB to 2GB only and SDHC cards are from 4GB to 32GB in capacity. If the memory card slot on your Computer says SD/MMC most likely it will not read SDHC cards (4GB to 32GB). We request you to contact your computer manufacturer for exact specifications of the SD slot.

The Lock switch on the memory card is for write protection. The card must remain unlocked (Lock swith up) to be used in the camera. The model number provided by you does not seems to be complete. Please recheck the model number and search for the suggested card for your camera from this link on your compatibility tool - http://pct1.sandisk.com/NewSearch.a...
