If you have an component input in your TV, (red, blue and green cables) then it should work. You can set your PS3 to output in 480, 720, or 1080. So you would set it to 480

Hello Bill,
this Component A/V Cable for PlayStation 3 gives Red Blue Green and RCA audio Red White
if you have a 5 component (RGB+Audio) connection then this is the cable for you. for an older TV you most likely will only require a Yellow (video) and red,white (RCA audio) cable.

Per Playstation.com here are the ports for installation on the 2 different PS2 models
PlayStation®2 system (70000-90000 series) installation Requirements
* Installation using an AV Cable
* Installation using an RFU adapter
* Installation using an S-Video cable
PlayStation®2 system (30000-50000 series) installation Requirements
* Installation using an AV Cable
* Installation using an RFU adapter
* Installation using an S-Video cable
since Both of these have AV hookup, this cable will work for the PS2
Per Playstation.com here are the ports for installation on the 2 different PS2 models
