The TV is using the same passive 3D technology used in movie theater and is supplied with 4 passive 3D glasses. Active 3D glasses will not work with a Passive 3D TV since it requires a transmitter to convert the 3D signal.

You would need a power converter that converts 220/240V foreign electricity to 110/120V U.S. electricity, however the color system of the TV is NTSC while the color system in India is PAL which is not compatible with the TV.

The screen refresh rate of the KDL60R550A is technically 120hz, but the MotionFlow technology used on this model can double that, thus, it is dubbed MotionFlow XR 240. For more details and additional information on the Sony MotionFlow technology, you may check the link provided below:

This TV will let allow the user to convert 2D to simulated 3D and we have tried it and with the 3D glasses that comes with the TV you can sure see the depth. It is not like watching Bluray 3D movies but you can see a big difference in the depth.

It does not necessarily convert 2d to 3d, but it has a feature called Simulated 3D that displays regular 2D pictures in simulated 3D.

TV is cable and internet ready. 3 HDMI ports covers multiple additional input devices. Recommend Geek Squad setup to be sure you get all of the functions operating properly.
