I'm sorry to hear your Freezer handle has come off. You should be able to put it back on over the screws that are still in the drawer, then slide it over as far as it will go, then tighten the screw using a hex wrench.

If you have any difficulty replacing the handle, please call 800-SAMSUNG to speak with an agent who will be happy to help.

Question

Does this fit a standard 36" width and 70" height?*

Also does anyone know shipping dimensions? My doorway is 33" wide.

Finally, if it is a 36" wide cabinet will this refrigerator have any trouble opening to at least 90 degrees? How many degrees can it be open in a 36" wide cabinet space.

Thank you

Thanks for the questions. The RF24FSEDBSR is 35-3/4" wide, and Samsung recommends leaving at least 3/8" on each side for air circulation and ease of movement. The height without the door hinges is 68-7/8", so should fit under your 70" cabinets. Ideally, the refrigerator should be installed so the front edge of the case is flush with the cabinets, so the doors can swing open freely depending on adjacent surfaces.

The depth with the doors and handles is 31" so you shouldn't have any difficulty fitting through your doorway, though the doors and drawers can be removed if necessary to fit through narrower spaces.

No. This fridge is 36" wide and exactly 70" tall. Also, the fridge is 24" deep but you need about 2" behind it to allow for a water line.

Question

What is the ice capacity?

My current refrigerator's ice maker holds only a very small amount of ice. I have seen some newer models that hold up to 4 lbs of ice. That includes the ice maker container and an additional container for the freezer for storage of ice as it is being made.

The RF24FSEDBSR Counter Depth model has a single ice maker in the refrigerator that can produce up to 5.2 lbs of ice per day and store 2.7 lbs. Since there's no ice maker in the freezer, there isn't a container that gets filled automatically, though you can certainly fill a container manually from the refrigerator ice maker and place it in the freezer.

It may also interest you to know that the full-depth version of this model, the 31 cu. ft. RF31FMEDBSR, produces up to 10 lbs of ice per day with its full-size Ice Master ice maker, and stores 4.2 lbs in the refrigerator bin alone.

To remove the ice bin from the RF24FSEDBSR, press the button on the upper right side of the ice maker while lifting the bin up from the front edge then pull it out toward you. An illustration can be found at the bottom of page 21 in the User Manual.

Yes. The metal divider can be removed. It also has a center bar which allows you to slide it if you don't want a 50/50 split of the drawer. I keep lemons/limes on smaller side and all the fruit on larger side. It's really easy to do. And it keeps things separated however you wish. I love that drawer.

Thanks for the question. Ideally, lettuce should be stored in a humid environment to prevent it from drying out and wilting, which is what the crisper drawer is usually used for. Fortunately, the RF24FSEDBSR features Samsung's Twin Cooling Plus cooling system that helps to maintain a higher humidity level throughout the refrigerator compared to conventional systems. However, how long lettuce and other produce will last depends in large part on how it was stored prior to reaching your home, and for how long. I would suggest storing it in an airtight container to retain moisture; it may even help to wrap it in a damp paper towel to help keep it fresh and crisp.

Question

Does the middle drawer, the flexizone drawer, provide correct temperature and humidity for storing produce?

I am looking for a refrigerator that has capability to store large amount of produce - both vegetables and fruits. Greens such as lettuce and kale seem to particularly need special conditions. The middle drawer of the counter depth four door refrigerator (23.5 cu ft) has 4 settings but none specific for produce. The standard depth French door 4 door whirlpool model does but I am limited to purchasing a counter depth refrigerator and as far as I have researched, whirlpool does not make a counter depth 4 door French door model. Your company and maybe a few others are it! Along with the two crispers in the main part of the refrigerator, storing produce is what I would use the middle drawer for - totally. Does the middle drawer of this model provide a setting appropriate for storing produce well?

The middle drawer has 4 settings to choose from:
42 degrees - Wine Party
37 degrees - Deli Snacks
33 degrees - Cold Drinks
29 degrees - Meat Fish
We keep the temp at 37 degrees and store all of our cheese, sandwich meats and snacks in it. It is wonderful for our kids. There are 2 vegetable/fruit bins in the main compartment of the refrigerator with humidity bar settings on them. I also have the Rubbermaid vegetable keeper containers to keep things fresher longer. I hope this helps.

I keep my lettuce, kale and swiss chard in the middle drawer. Works really well because they do not get crushed and the temp seems to be just fine for them. Plastic box of spinach that Sams sell fits perfect in the drawer.

Thanks for your interest in the RF24FSEDBSR. The middle Flex Zone Drawer has four settings, including Wine & Party Dishes (42°F), Deli Snacks (37°F), Cold Drinks (33°F) and Meat/Fish (29°F). Samsung doesn't recommend storing fruits and vegetables under the “Meat Fish” setting; and lettuce or other leafy produce should be stored in the crisper drawers rather than in the Flex Zone Drawer.

Chris thank you for your question. The doors and drawers are removable, and if you have Best Buy deliver the refrigerator they should be able to remove the necessary parts to get the refrigerator through your doorway and place it in the correct spot in your kitchen.

Yes, the doors and drawers on the RF24FSEDBSR can be removed for delivery and installation, leaving a case depth of 24-1/8" to fit through a narrow doorway. Instructions can be found in the User Manual which comes packaged with the new Refrigerator, or can be downloaded in advance as a pdf file from Samsung's website.

If your issue is a water line, or lack thereof
the ice maker can be turned off/on
my suggestion is turn off the ice maker and
maybe in the future you can get a water line
hooked up and then just turn it on.
that,s what I did and I had no problems

Thanks for your interest in the RF24FSEDBSR. The Counter Depth 4-Door is available only with the through-the-door ice and water dispenser, and all Samsung Refrigerators currently have automatic ice makers, though they can be turned off if you prefer not to connect to a water supply.
