Yes, but the TV will require a video output to do so. You can also send the signal in using a tuner box.

Great question. As a matter of fact the VR375 does contain a built-in tuner used to receive and record television broadcasts.

Although you are able to set a timed recording on the DVD-VR375 directly, it can not record from either a device with its own set timer (TV) or from an external timed source (DVR, Cable Box) automatically. You will need to set the DVD-VR375's timer in order to create a timed recording.

AS long as the VHS tapes are not copy protected, yes, you can record directly using the DUBBING feature.

can I record from a digital tv

I am looking for a recorder that can record from a digital tv. we have an antenna and our tv is analog and digital so I need a recorder that can record from the digital part of the tv.

It can record from most source signals, but will only record in SD, not HD.

No. Copy Protected movies are not able to be duplicated onto DVDs.

Can it change channels on the TV w/o a tv tuner box?

I have cable from a cable company with a traditional coaxial cable connecting to the TV. Can that cable connect to the player, with out requiring me to buy an external tuner?

Although the DVD-VR375 does offer a tuner and can record your cable programing, it will only have access to standard analogue content. Any digital or premium content from your service provider will not be supported by this device. Please contact your service provider for more information on what services you have at your home. A DVR would be a better choice if you have digital or premium content.
