The Camera DSC-F707 is compatible only with 32MB / 64MB / 128MB Standard Size and Duo size Memory sticks. A dedicated adapter (MSAC-M2) must be used to attach a Duo size Memory Stick to the Camera.

You can find the detailed information on memory stick compatibility in the link given below:

http://esupport.sony.com/US/perl/support-info.pl?&info_id=12&mdl=DSCF707

Sony standard size memory stick like MSA-128A and Sony Duo size memory stick like MSH-M128A can be used with this Camera.

HG-HX Memory Sticks are the fastest and most recommended of the two choices.

Memory Stick PRO-HG Duo media has shorter data transmission times and faster recording times between hardware with an 8-bit parallel interface and the flash memory device. With the addition of four connector pins to the Memory Stick's traditional 4-bit parallel interface, the resulting 8-bit parallel interface provides write speeds of up to 30MB/s (megabytes per second). Memory Stick PRO-Duo2 has a transfer speed of 20MB/s. all Cyber-shot cameras released in 2010 and 2011 can handle up to a 32GB memory stick, however if you do not need that much storage space 8GB will easily accommodate a 1 week vacation.

I do not know why "SonyListens" keeps saying that these Memory Stick Pro Duo cards do not work in PSP devices, but it is the exact kind of card that works in PSP-1000, PSP-2000, and PSP-3000 devices. I think he is confused because the PSP-Go takes M2 Memory sticks, as he states. The PSP-1000 through PSP-3000 can take M2 Memory Stick only if they are in an adapter to transfer to the Memory Stick Pro and Memory Stick Pro Duo form. On all his answers for Memory Stick Pro and Pro Duo questions, he keeps stating that they are physically to large for PSP devices and you must use M2 Cards. Appropriately, everyone gives him a negative review. Only PSP-Go Devices use the M2 memory stick he is talking about without an adapter. Look at the packages, and you will see pictures of compatible devices, and there is a picture of a PSP on the 1GB, 2GB, 4GB, and 8GB Memory Stick Pro Duo products. I cannot remember the picture is on the 16GB and 32 GB version, but I am willing to bet that they work as well on PSP-1000 through PSP-3000.

answer 2
PSP's take Memory Stick Pro Duo's, and PSPgo's take the M2 Memory Sticks- though they work in a regular PSP with the included adapter. I am surprised that SONY themselves didn't know this... so theoretically, the PSP should be able to use this memory card, however probably not to the full speed advantage the HX series provides.

Question

Write Speed?

The Sony website advertises a write speed of 20MB/s and your website lists a write speed of 32Mbps. Are those to numbers the same? I'm not real farmiliar with bytes versus bits. It would be great if you could stay consistant with the manufactures website or list both units. Just trying to compare apples to apples. Thanks!

The write speed of this Memory Stick is 32Mbps minimum (When combined with optimized Memory Stick PRO format - compatible devices). The transfer speed however (Parallel Transfer) is 160Mbps which is 20MB/sec which is probably where the megabytes/bits confusion originated.
