The ICFCD3IP only has an AUDIO IN/ Line IN jack ( 3.5 mm stereo minijack) as stated above it is used for connecting a MP3 player other than the supported iPods listed for the dock - the question we answered a few months ago is incorrect.

You cannot use Headphones with this Clock Radio.

Sorry Sony you are wrong >.< the clock radio has a jack to accept a Walkman or zune or something like that, it don't have an earphone jack. the "audio out" jack you are talking about is an Audio In.

As far as I know, yes. I have a iTouch that I purchased not 10 months ago and it fits/plays just fine. Good Luck!

Yes, However per Apple the 4th Generation is slightly larger physicaly and would require an adapter to fit in most Universal iPod Docks. once docked it will work as with any of the following models:

iPod® touch, iPod® touch second generation, iPhone, iPod Nano first generation, iPod Mini, iPod Nano second generation (aluminum), iPod Nano third generation (video), iPod Nano fourth generation (video), iPod fourth generation (color display), iPhone 3G, iPod classic, iPod 5th generation (video), and iPod 4th generation.

I've never had a problem with it reading burned audio CD's. Bose is the only company I know that their CD/DVD players which seem to be finicky about burned audio CD's......but Apple has worked thus far. Good luck!

The ICFCD3IP can play CD-Rs/ and CD-RWs recorded in the Compact Disc Digital Audio (CDDA) format only, any other digital format would need to be converted to CDDA standard formatting.

Yes, you would just use the "Audio In" jack located on the back of the Sony CD/Clock Radio. Then there's a "Audio In" button on the side you would push. Good luck!

Yes,
The ICFCD3IP can play music from any Digital Player as it has a Line In port that connects directly to the Headphones jack, however the dock is only designed for the iPod.

Consult Apple Electronics for adapters as the Touch 4th generation touch is slightly thicker than previous generations. With an adapter the 4th generation will play in all devices that can play previous generations.

Not sure what you mean? The unit comes with a slide out dock that is designed for a Apple audio player, i.e., iPod, iTouch, etc.

Any protective case or cover for an iPhone or iPod will change the dimensions of the device based on the thickness of the protective case and any protrusions it may have. The ICFCD3IP conforms to the Universal Dock system. consult the manufacturer of the protective cover to determine thickness and if it will cause your phone to be too thick to dock.
