Question

When I save my pictures to this Flash Drive, are they saved as JPG, can I copy my pictures to this and then print them at the photo shop?

I have a memory stick, with pictures loaded on it but was unable to even bring the pictures up at the Rite Aid photo shop, the clerk said they were not formatted in JPG.

Yes you can copy photos as JPGs. Keep in mind that the files should not exceed 2mb per file or the store may not be able to read the file.
Keep the photos in the root of the USB flash drive and not hidden in a folder within the drive.

Yes. If you are using a Windows7 puter with a older SanDisk flash drive imprinted with the U3 logo, then you may need to update the software for the flash drive, otherwise you will NOT see the password software.

There is no such device as a USB flash drive with a SD card slot.

I think what you need is a SD Card USB adapter. These are available at most stores like Best Buy, found with the multi-card readers.

Question

How many songs?

Hi. I just recently bought a Crosley USB turntable and I was told I needed an 8gb flash drive (or lower) so I was taking a look at this flash drive. How many songs do you think this drive would fit? Mind you these are records, much much much shorter than music these days.

Please click on the link below for number of songs that can be saved on the drive http://kb.sandisk.com/app/answers/d... . This is based on 3 minute 30 second songs at 128Kbps, MP3 format. In case the capacity of songs is lesser than this, number of songs will increase.

A 16GB drive can easily accommodate on average 3500 songs.
I would recommend you formatting the drive to wipe it clean.

Then try loading the songs again, making sure that they are in MP3 format of course.
I hope this helps.

Most car stereo systems only allow so many files per folder and possibly a max of files per usb flash drive. Since no Sony model number of your stereo was mentioned, I can not give you the specifics. Also ensure that the kbps for the files are not higher than what your Sony allows.
Also check that the file type is valid for use in your Sony.

Question

This is marked as 4GB storage. It reads as 64mb.

I understand SOME storage area would be unusable, but dropping from 4GB as marked to 64mb is ridiculous. How can this be formatted on a pc or mac to use more of the space? (I planned on using it to transfer some files.)

First of all on a windows pc, right click on the drive and then choose format. this will open a window where you can choose to rest the settings to default and then choose format drive.

This should do the trick.

Formatting a drive will remove storage space. This happens in Digital Camera memory cards, and computer hard drives.
SanDisk also has software pre-installed, so this will remove some storage space. To allow the max number of storage space. Delete everything from the Flash Drive, though some file may not delete from a SanDisk.

SanDisk USB flash drive should work as an plug and play device on Mac Lion OS. In case the drive works on a different computer then you have to contact the computer manufacturer for assistance.

If the drive is not working you can refer to the link below to get the troubleshooting steps: http://kb.sandisk.com/app/answers/d...

Open Windows Media Player, Browse to the scandisk, select all the tunz you want to play, click open. U can then save your selections to a playlist inside the Media Player Browser, We usually save the list in M3U format because most popular media players recognize this playlist extension.

Hope this helps ; )

Depends on what you are using to play the music files stored on your USB flash drive. You may be able to create a playlist, and then it will play everything. See your instructions on your playing device on creating and using playlists.

That answer is entirely dependent on the program you are using to play the music. It's not a function of the Flash drive.

Most players, like Itunes, will sort and filter your music however you want.
