Question

Does copier/printer use a roller so paper has to go around the roller, increasing chance of getting jammed unless the paper is just single thin bond?

My current HP 5610 works well except it has a roller in the printer that the paper must go around after it feeds into the machine and while it's copying/printing, then it shoots the paper out of the tray. I am unable to ever print any kind of paper beyond one piece of regular bond - no matter what settings I use in the printer settings tool, whether I set it on photo paper or try to print one single envelope or use slightly heavier paper for posting fliers. Will this machine do the job? Does it use a roller OR is it a copier that scans the document and all paper stays on flat trays during the printing process?

Well, I assume it's roller - HOWEVER, I've never had a problem with any sticking or using any paper. I've done envelopes, and photo paper and they are fine. However, when I put photo paper in, I only put one in at a time. But for regular paper, I load the tray up with about 50 sheets at a time and it takes them one at a time fine. Also, my printer has the option where it can print on both sides and even that works great. How old is your printer? Maybe the rollers are just worn out? If it's newer, then of course something's wrong - it shouldn't work that way.

Question

Printing envelopes

MY HP 5610 printer is supposed to print envelopes, but it won't print anything beyond one standard piece of paper - an envelope is too thick. I've read the manual, put the envelop in the proper place, proper direction with paper holder in proper position. Does this printer/fax/copier print envelopes?. IF so, what size - just the standard 91/2 x 4 1/2" ?

HP wireless printers can print directly from wireless-enabled PCs without using a router. As long as your desktop has wireless capability, you will not need a router to print to an HP wireless printer.

The HP Officejet 6500 Wireless Multifunction Printer/ Copier/ Scanner/ Fax is compatible with the HP iPAQ 210 for printing if the HP iPrint Photo Software is downloaded. For instructions on downloading and installing this software you can visit the following HP website:

http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?lc=en&dlc=en&cc=us&docname=c01931972#N878

Please remember that this software will only print picture files. At this time, Hewlett-Packard does not have a printing solution for the HP iPAQ 210 for printing documents. This would be a third-party software solution.

Question

I saw a previous question asking if you can print directly on a CD/DVD. The answer was No, but the description for this Model states that you can.

Can HP clarify it's description of the HP printers capabilities, because the description is confusing. Can it print directly to a disc or not, if not the description needs to be re-worded. I need a printer that will print directly to a CD/DVD.

Question

Does it have a document feeder for scanning multiple pages?

I was told by a BestBuy Business Rep that this model has a document feeder on top for copying or scanning multiple pages, so you don't have to put one sheet at a time on the flat screen. I don't see that in the description anywhere!! Is there a different printer with this capability?
