The package doesn't come with a ring, but there is a hole through the back corner so it looks like you could put a thin ring on it and hook it to your key ring.

No. It does not have a ring to hook up to key ring. It may be a bit bulky for some key ring. There are some smaller ones more suitable for key ring but those are more expensive than this one.

That is an excellent question. TOO BAD that it is a year and a half old. However, the picture of the product does need changed. It is outdated because the product that I have does have a loop at the top to be able to hook on a key chain or whatever else you need to safely secure the drive. :)

This disk has a small notch in the back, with a bar extending across the middle of the notch. It seems like it would be difficult to thread anything other than a string through the area.

As soon as you plug-in your USB drive, a pop-up will show up on your screen, it'll ask what you want to do, you have several options, pick the one that says view files, you will see two files on the USB if it is a clean stick, one says SanDisk secure access V2.0 and the other one is SanDisk secure accessV2_win you'll notice this one because it has a Icon of what looks to be a safe. the icon of the safe is your encryption mode, click on that and follow the directions and you will have a password and encrypted pictures files whatever you want. good to go! good.

answer 3
It all depends on the size of the movie--Most movies, depending on quality, run anywhere from 700MB to over 1GB. The higher the quality, the larger the file. I have 37 full length movies on my 32GB Sandisk Cruzer which range from 400MB to just over a gig, so it all depends on the size of the file. You can check the size by right clicking on the file, opening the properties box and it should tell you how large the file is. Then it is just a matter of adding it all up. Hope this answers your question.

This is a broad question considering the variables. The storage space depends mainly on the quality/size of your media. Using an average 8 megapixel (8MP) setting on your camera will give you about 16,000 pictures on the Cruzer 32GB Flash. Movies can vary a lot depending on the movie length. But a safe bet would be about 30-35 movies.

It depends on the quality (number of megapixels) of the photos, but it can hold from 4000 to almost 23,000 pictures. If you want to save songs, movies and photos, it is said to be able to hold (according to the SanDisk website)
1000 photos, and 2000 songs, and 8GB of office files, and 80 mins of video. If you only save photos and videos, it will obviously hold more of them..

Depends on the size of the files and compression used. A good ripper can make 1080p blue ray MPG4 files under 2 GB. and a big 12MP jpeg is about 2MB so do the math. 10 movies and 100 photos with room to spare.

Possibly, all drives are different. It could have a different indicator light for read and write which would make that perfectly normal. I'd think that as long as you see the drive in explorer and the full available capacity is indicated you should have a problem. You can always reformat the drive and check for errors if needed as well.

That answer will depend in large on what size your photos are. Are you using a point and shoot, a crop sensor DSLR or a full frame? Are you using raw files, or jpgs and at what quality? There's no way for someone to tell you the answer without knowing those details. For me I shoot a high resolution DSLR that's full frame and base my purchase on how many shots I need to transfer. I keep 8gig (almost never use those), 16 gig and 33 gig for sending to clients but keep one 64 gig for my own personal transferring back and forth and such.

If you mean "boot" capable, it should be. You have to format the thumb drive to be a boot device (have the proper files on it and respond to the computer's request), and you have to have your computer set to boot from the USB port.
